I hope everyone is comfortable with this truth because it is not going to change. Okay. I have your attention. After Hurricane Maria ravaged one of the USA's territories, which 2,975 USA citizens died, the USA's congress started to "argue" the dollar amount for the aid towards the small colony. The aid bill was signed two years later. This is where it gets very interesting. The hurricane was in 2017. The USA's congress approved, yet with opposition from the president at the time, $69 billion for aid. As of today, Sunday, April 28th, 2024, the colony has ONLY received $20 billion to aid in the island's recovery. As a matter of fact, 69 representatives and 16 senators voted Nay for the aid. All were republican. Now, for the strange part. Two months after Katrina, the president of the USA, signed a $110 billion aid package after it passed Congress with a 97-0 vote. I say all this because the USA just passed a $95 Billion aid bill, yet again, the hurricane-torn colony has only received $20 billion for AID. The president, during 2017-2019, held the aid for months after it was released. The president, during 2017-2019, temporarily suspended the Jones Act (act that doesn't allow any maritime vessel not from the USA unload cargo on the island), seven days after the hurricane. Four cargo ships, 2 with food, 1 with gas, and 1 with medicine from Venezuela waited 4 days four miles of the colonies capital for permission to port on the colony. My grandmother died during those seven days. The colony didn't have gas for the generators in the hospital where she was. She was in intensive care. In conclusion, the USA is a warmongering country, and the evidence is that the USA would rather give aid to war rather than save lives. less
