His pioneering work in television (Cronkite first covered the political conventions in 1952 and the term ‘anchorman’ was created for Cronkite’s role&hellipand especially covering the major events of the 60’s and 70’s his was a constant presence and the most watched news person. For several years Cronkite was called the most trusted man in America. (Can you imagine ANYONE being given that moniker now?)
