Remembering Walter Cronkite on his birthday, both #otd 1916. Picture from c1965. I was a kid when I first saw him and watched until his last broadcast in March 1981. His pioneering work in television (Cronkite first covered the political conventions in 1952 and the term ‘anchorman’ was created for Cronkite’s role&hellipand especially covering the major events of the 60’s and 70’s his was a constant presence and the most watched news person. For several years Cronkite was called the most trusted man in America. (Can you imagine ANYONE being given that moniker now?)
