Happy Birthday to one Claude William Dunkenfield born #otd 1880. A fabulous juggler and vaudeville performer, W.C. Fields had been around the world twice by the time he was 25. Was featured in the Ziegfeld Follies starting in 1915. His radio appearances with Edger Bergen and Charlie McCarthy are classics of absurdist humor and asides in the battles they would have. The early shorts for Paramount show Fields as he would have been on the stage. Died Christmas Day 1946….
