Bob Dylan was the first person to smoke up with the Beatles. The story goes it was August of 1964 and the Beatles were on their first US tour. They caught a gig in upstate New York and the iconic hipster Dylan was introduced to the Fab Five (Brian Epstein was still a member at the time). Pleasantries were exchanged and Dylan asked if they wanted to smoke some bud. They were supposedly nervous as fuck, but Epstein didn't want them to come off as squares, so he lied and said they had stopped smoking years ago. Anyway Dylan blazes up and passes the joint to Ringo, not understanding puff puff pass etiquette, he smoked the whole thing by himself. Super cool Dylan just rolls everyone their own individual dub. Epstein spent the rest of the night telling everyone he thought he could walk on the ceiling. Ever the songwriter. Paul McCartney made everyone write down everything they said that night.
