See, all Mr. Assange did was publicized information that helped the USA's enemies, and in turn hurt USA citizens. All information you know about a target or a mission is critical information. Having said this, what happened? Where were the "hold the government accountable" chants? Where are the protests against war? Heck, most people don't know that Chelsea Manning was the one who provided many documents, and he just published them.
Having said all this. As a retired military veteran, the amount of information this man published, the lives of my brothers and sisters he compromised, not to mention, in the end, it only hurts the tax paying USA citizen. Thank you for serving and welcome home. The side of me that wants to protect the USA's security holds an immeasurable disdain for this man. The naive part of me, wants to see him free and live a happy life. I don't listen to my naive part.
