Thought to give the vinegar another try today so I added 2.5 tablespoons of vinegar to the deposited tap water. Measured PH in the bottle and it dropped to about 6.5. Used 1 liter today to water the 4 pots (abt. 250ml/pot) and measured the PH in the soil earlier and it seems to have dropped from 7.8 to 7.5. Now I don't wanna overwater the plants trying to drop the PH with vinegar so am afraid to add another 250ml again tomorrow as the soil is pretty moist for now. I will get the distilled water as that is cheap indeed. The PH down is about $13, so I will need to get that in about 6 days when I get my salary (hope it won't be too late).
Thanks a lot for all your help. I will continue to post on the progress and effects. Have an awesome day ! less

MirindaForgot to mention, the indicated amount of vinegar (found on the internet) was of 1-2 tablespoon per gallon. I used that amount per liter to fasten the process for the start.

''I used vinegar once I realized i needed to lower my ph because of nutrient lock-out issues.
I used about 1-2 tbsp vin. / gal water to bring the ph from 7.8 to about 6.5''
He doesn't mention the time it took and how many times he had to use this remedy, but in another piece of the same thread a guy mentions :
''i use vinegar to lower my ph its actually been more stable then ph down, if i need to raise it i just add tap water.''
So I believe that he uses distilled water with added vinegar (same amount each time)for every watering and uses tap water just if the PH rises again. less
